Stavrinides

Stavrinides is located on the north side of the island, 26 km away from the city of Samos. It is a small village builted in a green mountainous site, in an altitude of 380 meters.

It took its name from the first settler’s surname.
Near Stavrinides there used to be a small village by the name Kosmades. All around the village there are many chapels such as the one of Assumption, Saint Panteleimon, St. George and others.
It is worth noting that the village was previously linked with the village of Manolates with paved road, part of which has been preserved and is a very nice path for walkers.
The biggest social event of the village is the feast of Prophet Elijah which celebrates on July 20. Also, many smaller festivals are taking place in the chapels throughout the whole year.
