A press release by EOSS (Union of Vinicultural Cooperatives of Samos) announced a cooperation agreement with the “GREEK Wine Cellars SA” for the better promotion of Samian wines. The press release states:

The “GREEK Wine Cellars SA” and the “Union of Vinicultural Cooperatives of Samos” are pleased to announce their agreement over a long, Wine and Commercial, Cooperation Agreement.
Retaining unchanged their administrative and organizational autonomy as well as their corresponding private or cooperative nature, the two of the five largest wineries of Greece joins forces, creating one of the biggest Winemaking Schemes in Europe.
The basis and the starting point of this cooperation are the healthy business and financial structures of both companies. We aim to create even stronger, healthier, and more competitive winemaking and commercial businesses, owned and operated exclusively by Greeks, based on Greek Capital and, hopefully, be the largest and the proudest Ambassador of Greek Wines in the World Market.

The “GREEK Wine Cellars SA” and EOSS respond to the current challenges and the difficult business conditions that have developed in our long-suffering country. Both can guarantee the income of some 20.000 Greek Rural Families who entrust their crops to us, every single time. Both companies can meet the demands of the thousands of customers and millions of Greek and Foreign Consumers who prefer our wines, for many decades now, for the high quality and the range we offer.
From March 1, 2016 onwards all the wines of EOSS will trade in the Greek market, except Samos, through a well-known commercial network established by the “GREEK Wine Cellars SA”. At the same time, this cooperation will be extended to all markets abroad, on the basis of a common export network. Above all, however, EOSS and the “GREEK Wine Cellars SA” will seek to achieve, through their wine cooperation, further commercial development of the unique and award-winning Samian wine which is produced from the famous native and charismatic variety of “Muscat of Samos”. The aim is the creation of new wine products which will win the love and preference of the modern and demanding consumer.
