Second day of Panijiri held in the platia of the village of Kallithea in the west of Samos island/Greece in the night of August 15th, 2008. (first night the celebrations took place high up in the mountains in the cave of the chapel Panagia Makrini, see thumbnail)
The square in Kallithea was packed on that night, full of tables and hundreds of people sitting, eating, drinking and dancing.
A five man band played live and very very loud starting 10 o’clock in the evening and lasting until ….? I left Kallithea about 5 o’clock in the morning of August 16th, when they still were and people still were dancing..
Panijiri in Kallithea: all together an almost 48 hours long experience with very little sleep.
